Mariah Carey is desperate to perform a duet with George Michael at this summer's Live 8 concert in Hyde Park.
Secret negotiations have been taking place between the singers and George is close to agreeing to sing with the diva.A source said: "Mariah is a massive fan of George's.He's currently recording a duets album, so she thought he might be up for this.She's so excited to be involved in the Hyde Park gig and was trying to think of something that would make her performance really special."She thinks a duet with George is the perfect thing".And the American singer has idolised George since she was a schoolgirl.Mariah once said: "I looked at him and I wanted to know what he was doing".
George is already confirmed for Live 8 and has been telling pals that he is keen to perform some Wham! classics as well as his solo hits on July 2.
George played the original Live Aid concert with Wham!, and was joined on stage for 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' by Sir Elton John.
