Matt LeBlanc has a new girlfriend - just days after filing for divorce.

The star is now dating Andrea Anders - a co-star on his recently cancelled 'Friends' spin-off, 'Joey'.

LeBlanc, 38, submitted divorce papers last week after just three years of marriage to his first wife, Melissa, who he as a two-year-old daughter, Marina, with.

He has already moved out of the family's Encino, California home after admitting he was seeing someone else.

Kelly Phillips, a long-time friend of the sitcom star's spouse, told America's People magazine: "It was very sudden.

"She was absolutely blindsided by what transpired."

Another friend said the 41-year-old mother wanted to try and work things out.

They told the magazine: "She wanted to do counselling or therapy, but Matt just didn't want to work it out."

LeBlanc's representative has refused to comment on the situation, saying: "We're not interested in having a public discussion about private family matters."

Last year, the sitcom actor got in trouble with his wife after admitting drunkenly groping a stripper during a wild night out in Canada.

He revealed at the time: "She was all over me. I was drinking and she was crossing the line strippers shouldn't normally cross.

"If I had been sober perhaps I'd have acted quicker. I acted like a fool. I feel ashamed."
