Matthew Mcconaughey Bets On Armstrong Victory.Actor Matthew McConaughey is backing his pal Lance Armstrong to win the next Tour de France cycle race.The cyclist - who has dated a string of celebrities including Kate Hudson - recently announced his return to the sport after a three-year break.And McConaughey, who is a close friend of the sportsman, insists that Armstrong can go on to win his 8th title at the legendary event in 2009.He tells Access Hollywood, "Whenever we get together I like to hop into his training regime. He doesn't need much of my help training, I promise you that."I'm happy he is going back to do it. And he is going back to win it. He's got the strongest mind of a guy I've ever met.
