'Friends' star Matthew Perry has a new girlfriend - thirteen years his junior. The 37-year-old actor, who attracted hordes of female fans as quick-witted character Chandler in the hit US sitcom, is dating 'Mean Girls' star Lizzy Caplan, who is just 24.However, Matt - who has battled addictions to alcohol and prescription drugs - has been warned the allegedly hard partying actress could be too much for him.A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Lizzy is a party girl. I'm surprised that Matt, who has struggled with sobriety, would be dating her."Matthew met Lizzy - who played a grumpy lesbian gothic opposite Lindsay Lohan in 'Mean Girls' and also stars in US teen drama 'The Class' - through Matthew's former 'Friends' co-star Matt LeBlanc.Matthew - whose new US TV show 'Studio 60' has not been well received - has a long history of substance abuse. In 1997 he became addicted to Vicodin, a strong painkiller originally prescribed to him for tooth ache, and once admitted he was taking around 30 pills and drinking up to two pints of vodka a day.

In 2001, he declared he had overcome his addictions after checking himself into a drug treatment centre in Minnesota and successfully completing a course to treat the early stages of chemical dependency in 2000.
