Tattoo-free Bride Mena Suvari

Mena Suvari is desperate to find a wedding dress which will cover her tattoos.

The 'American Beauty' actress is currently planning her nuptials to Simone Sestito and wants to respect her fiance's religious family by hiding her body art during the ceremony.

She said: "I think it would be considerate to Simone's family to have my tattoos covered, since there are two Catholic nuns on his mother's side of the family."

Pleasing Simone's family is important to the actress, who believes a wedding is all about uniting loved ones.

She said: "The best thing about planning a wedding is just the whole essence of it. Thinking about how it should really be your most important, special day, and getting your family together. Simone and I really want to make it everything we always wanted it to be."

The 30-year-old star - who hopes to marry next year in Italy - says finding love with Simone gave her hope after ending her six-year marriage to cinematographer Robert Brinkmann in 2006.

She added to America's OK! magazine: "I think you just know when you have found 'The One'. It's a feeling. Relationships are challenging, but I love him and he's very good to me. I think you know when you know.

"After a divorce, I think it's most important for people to get in touch with themselves and really get to know who they are and what they want and establish goals. Be positive. There's only sunshine that lies ahead. You have to continuously move forward because it doesn't make sense to live in the past."
