Police had initially classified Patrick's death as suspicious, but have now confirmed the medical examiner's suicide ruling is consistent with evidence found at the scene.
Patrick - who owned the Farrow Gallery with his wife, artist Susan Farrow - was Mia's older brother and one of seven siblings born to author John Farrow and actress Maureen O'Sullivan.
The 66-year-old artist's death comes just six months after Mia's 35-year-old daughter, Lark Previn, died after a long illness.
'Rosemary's Baby' star Mia has spoken of her grief at losing her beloved brother.
Her manager Laura Berwick said: "The family of Patrick Farrow is grieving the tragic loss of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who sadly chose to take his own life. They greatly appreciate the support of their friends during this difficult time."
