Michael Douglas has warned his future son-in-law to expect "rough" treatment from him.
The actor is fiercely protective of his three-year-old daughter Carys and insists he will give a hard time to anyone she takes home to meet him and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Michael - who was once treated for sex addiction - said: "When my daughter Carys wants to get married I'll be as rough with the guy as Catherine's dad was when he checked me out."
The 61-year-old star, who is 25 years older than his Oscar-winning wife, revealed Catherine's father was very intimidating when he first met him.
Michael, who married the Welsh star in 2000, joked at the London premiere of his new movie 'You, Me and Dupree': "He gave me the once over and then some."
The actor, who has two children with Catherine, Dylan and Carys, also confessed that having a younger wife is the secret to his happy outlook on life.
He said: "I married a young lady which doesn't hurt when it comes to staying youthful. I've also got two young children who keep me going. I'm really happy."
