Britain's Prince Harry spent the eve before the announcement he was being posted to Iraq indulging in a drunken karaoke session. The young prince knocked-back beer and belted out tunes at London' Troubadour club on Wednesday night (21.02.07).The next day it was officially announced that he would fight on the front line with his Blues and Royals regiment when they were deployed to the war-torn country in May.Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Harry was really getting into the spirit of things. He started off drinking beer but he moved on to whisky. That clearly gave him Dutch courage, because Harry was singing along with everyone else. By that stage, there were only 12 people still in there."They were belting out Don McLeab's 'American Pie' and then sang a rendition of Bryan Adams' 'Summer of '69', with the line, 'Those were the best days of our lives'."The prince will have to pay £1,000 out of his own pocket for extra equipment needed during his tour of Iraq. The essential items include desert boots, a global positioning system, goggles, a lightweight helmet and a sleeping bag.

Other members of his regiment will struggle to afford the equipment.

Meanwhile, Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy partied hard over the weekend during the South American part of her gap year trip around the world.
