It is a worrying day for Tracy (Kate Ford) as the two people who know what really happened on that fateful night prepare to give evidence in her defence. She knows that Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) is still not sure if she will be able to go through with committing perjury but David (Jack P Shepherd) seems as keen to lie for her as ever! The real problems start when he takes the stand though and it soon becomes clear that his evidence might not be everything she had hoped for.Meanwhile Deidre decides to take the stand much to Ken's (William Roache) dismay. Can she help Tracy after David's somewhat damaging performance in the witness box? As the court prepares to adjourn for the weekend have Tracy and her defence witnesses done enough to guarantee her freedom?Elsewhere, the factory girls are less than impressed when Liam (Rob James Collier) introduces them to their new Polish colleagues. Janice (Vicky Entwistle) is the most outspoken but Vicky (Wanda Opalinska) won’t take the insults lying down.Leanne (Jane Danson) is still angry with Liam about the house but she soon forgives him and it is clear she enjoys being in company with him and Carla (Alison King).
