Michael Jackson's jury summons
Michael Jackson has been summoned back to court - for jury service. The eccentric singer, who earlier this year was cleared of child sex abuse charges, has received a jury summons delivered to his Neverland Ranch home. However, Jackson's legal team insist the star is unlikely to show up for jury selection because he no longer resides in the US.
Since his acquittal, the 46-year-old artist has been living in Bahrain as a guest of the royal family and is currently staying in London where he is rumoured to be recording a Hurricane Katrina charity single.Thomas Mesereau, who defended Jackson is his child molestation case, said: "He is permanently living outside of the United States"California Jury Commissioner Gary Blair has also said it is unlikely Jackson will be made to serve as a juror because of he is living outside the US. He explained: "All he has to do is show he has legal residency somewhere else and he'll be exempted"Earlier this week, Jackson shocked hotel staff when he answered the door to his suite - dressed as Mickey Mouse.
Disguised as the giant cartoon rodent, the star reportedly showed a chambermaid into his room at London's swanky Dorchester Hotel, where inside the singer's children were jumping on the bed dressed as Peter Pan characters.
