Michelle Williams has hit the town following her split from Heath Ledger.The actress, who has parted ways with Heath after three years together, showed off a new brunette bob hairstyle and sported high heels as she partied with girlfriends at Union Hall bar in Park Slope, New York, on Sunday (02.09.07).A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Michelle looked gorgeous with her sleek bob and seemed really happy. She was definitely showing it off."Heath and Michelle, who have a 23-month-old daughter Matilda, have reportedly spent months apart since Matilda was born and close friends and family are not surprised they have finally ended their romance.A source told Us Weekly magazine: "They have been broken up, on and off, since Matilda was born, and tried in many ways to make it work for her sake. Matilda will remain their first priority."The past year or so has been filled with ups and downs and they spent a few months apart and barely spoke."Michelle's father Larry insists the pair will remain on good terms for the sake of their daughter.He said: "We've known about their troubles for a while but it's always a very difficult thing in life when these things happen.
"I know Heath and Michelle still care about each other deeply and are very committed to being great parents to their daughter. I have a great respect for Heath and I know he cares tremendously for Michelle."
Michelle, 26, and Heath, 28, met on the set of 'Brokeback Mountain' in 2004 - a month after the Australian actor ended his two-year relationship with Naomi Watts.
