Michelle Williams To Quit US

Michelle Williams is considering moving to France.

The 'Brokeback Mountain' actress is struggling to cope with the amount of attention she and her three-year-old daughter Matilda - whose father Heath Ledger died of an accidental drug overdose in January 2008 - receive and wants to lead a quieter life.

Michelle, who lives in Brooklyn, New York, said: "I don't want anymore paparazzi outside my door. I want it to get better as my daughter grows up, not worse. If it makes a difference, if doing smaller movies means less of that stuff, then I'll adjust my life so that we can still have a life in the city and not totally disappear. If not, I think they have laws in France - I'll go there."

Michelle admits she used to read celebrity gossip magazines but has a different outlook on them since the death of her former boyfriend Heath.

She added: "It is really addictive. It makes you forget yourself when you pick those things up and read about people's lives. And believe me, before this happened I was totally guilty of those moments. I'd sit there in the hair and make-up trailer and trawl through them."
