Natalie Portman To Appear In Gorilla Documentary

Actress Natalie Portman has teamed up with animal expert Jack Hanna for a U.S. TV special on gorilla treks in Rwanda. The Garden State star features in Gorillas On The Brink, an hour-long documentary set to air on TV network Animal Planet later this year (07). The film about endangered gorillas sees Hanna take Portman on a trek around Congo's Virunga National Park. Portman made her name as Padme in Star Wars 1 - The Phantom Menace she went on to repries this role twice in Attack of th eClones and Revenge of the Sith. The actress has had a string of role in Garden State and Closer. Hoever these movies have brought the actress much acclaim.Garden State, which was directed by and starred Zach Braff won Best First Feature at the Independent Spirit Awards as well as being amongst the official selection for the Sundance Film Festival.Closer which starred Julia Roberts, Jude Law and Clive Owen netted the actress a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress as well as an Oscar nomination in the same category.
