Nicole Kidman is desperate for a baby.

The Oscar-winning beauty - who has two adopted children, Isabella and Conor, with ex-husband Tom Cruise - says she would love to get pregnant.

However, the 37-year-old star admits she wants a man in her life she can share the joys of parenthood with.

She said: "I'd absolutely love to have a baby, although I'd want to do it with a partner. It would be so lovely to have a life with somebody where you bring up a child together.

"I've got hormones running through my system as I sit wriggling on my chair, saying I want a baby."

The flame-haired actress also denied reports she was engaged to Steve Bing - despite the pair recently rekindling her romance.

She said: "That's just not true."

Nicole - who has previously dated rocker Lenny Kravitz - has made no secret of her desire to settle down.

She recently said: "I'm hoping to meet someone and be happy with them."

Last year, Nicole claimed she was not looking for a perfect man - but would prefer someone with flaws.

She said: "I don't want perfect. I like all of the flaws, and I like discovering all the things that make up a complicated, interesting person who can keep me fascinated.

Perfect? I'd be bored."
