Octavia Spencer shocked by stars

'The Help' actress Ocatvia Spencer still gets starstruck when she sees celebrities on the red carpet.

Octavia Spencer still gets starstruck.

The actress was named Best Supporting Actress at Sunday night's (12.02.12) BAFTAs for her role in 'The Help' and while she is being invited to A-list event, she still can't believe who she gets to meet.

She said: "Oh my god, yes I still get starstruck! I get starstruck every time I see a face. I saw Jim Broadbent and I was too scared to go over and tell him how much I love him. And Daniel Radcliffe, I'm sorry, come on! I watched him grow up! Brad [Pitt] and George [Clooney], we're old friends now. I met them back in December and it feels like I've known them my entire career."

Octavia also admits that she finds all the attention surrounding her "overwhelming" but very flattering.

She told BANG Showbiz: "Offers from Hollywood will never get old. That's pretty wonderful. The attention is overwhelming because I like to fly under the radar and not wear much make-up or pantyhose or shoes. I can do with a little less attention, but if it means I have less opportunity to work then I'll wear the pantyhose and shoes!"
