Oprah Winfrey has signed a three-year deal to develop movies and mini-series with Home Box Office studios.
The TV queen will develop the projects with her company, Harpo Films, which has worked with ABC for the last fifteen years.
It has yet to be discussed whether Winfrey will star in any of the productions.
Winfrey began her acting career in Steven Spielberg’s The Color Purple in 1985.
She has also provided voice-overs for children’s films, Charlotte’s Web, Bee Movie and the Princess and the Frog, which will be released in 2009.
