The latest news to hit Hollywood is of the alleged dating of two of Tinsel town's most eccentric residents; the King of Pop - Michael Jackson, and America's favourite Baywatch blonde, Pamela Anderson, who are said to have enjoyed several secret dates. Talk about celebrity chalk and cheese. Move over Brangelina, you could have a new celebrity rival stealing your limelight; Jackela.With one of the strangest celebrity romances potentially beginning, Dating Direct, has turned its back on aesthetically paired to perfection couples, asking 1000 of its members to take a moment to reminisce on their favourite odd couples from over the years.Top of the list with 21% is Sinitta and Brad Pitt. Undeniably the global no.1 heartthrob, Brad Pitt shared a brief romance with British singer Sinitta, who managed to dominate this Macho Man in the late 80's.Runners up are the freshly broken up couple Lembit Opik and Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia with 18%. MP Lembit Opik obviously has a penchant for a good derriere, moving swiftly on from straight laced presenter and 2007's 'Bum of the Year' Sian Lloyd, to eccentric Transylvanian hot pant lover and Cheeky Girl, Gabriela Irimia.Next, with 14% were Britney Spears and Adnan Ghalib. British paparazzo Adnan illustrates to all men that perhaps persistence pays off, as his constant pursuit of A-lister Britney led to one of the most bizarre hook ups in Hollywood.With 11% is Tom Cruise and Cher. This year Cher revealed her ex beau to be 'just the most adorable man you can imagine'. The couple dated in the late 80's. If she could turn back time perhaps she might have clung on to Tom on as he began his journey to Hollywood stardom.Next up is Liza Minnelli and David Gest with 11%. Martine McCutcheon was bridesmaid at their 2002 wedding, which only lasted a year. Divorce reasons cited alleged poisoning and contraction of herpes... It just gets more bizarre.Eddie Murphy and Mel B come sixth on the list with 8%. The feisty Spice Girl embarked on a whirl-wind romance when coming to America, which ended in pregnancy with the A-list funny man. The scary comedy which these two created didn't have much of a shelf life...Dennis Rodman and Alicia Douvall follow them with 6%. Cross dressing 6ft 8 NBA giant Dennis Rodman was engaged to British kiss n' tell glamour model Alicia Douvall in 2004, perhaps she got fed-up with him stretching the clothes in her wardrobe...
In eighth place come Brigette Nielson and Flavor Flav with 5% of the vote. These lovers stared in their own reality TV show 'strange love' - which just about sums up this pairing...
With 4% are Jamie Cullum and Sophie Dahl 4%. Leggy model Sophie succumbed to the charms of pint-sized Jazzster Jamie in a relationship which may just stand the test of time. We've guessed however that high heels are banned on their dates though...
Finally bringing up the rear are Lisa Snowden and George Clooney with 2%. Silver fox and former ER doctor Clooney has shared an on off relationship with this girl next door for years, so perhaps this strangely paired love match may be back 'on' at some point.
