Patrick Swayze has defended close friend Mel Gibson. The 'Dirty Dancing' actor spoke out in support of the shamed 'Mad Max' star, who admitted making "vicious" comments about Jews after being arrested for drunk-driving in Malibu. He said: "I feel bad for Mel, he's a wonderful human being and he is not anti-Semitic. He should be allowed to have a stupid moment." Swayze - who is currently starring in 'Guys and Dolls' in London's West End - blamed his friend's outburst on alcohol. He told British TV show GMTV: "People say stupid things when they happen to have had a few, and especially if you don't drink any more, or have limited your drinking for a long time and all of a sudden you decide to have one too many with the boys - you are stupid."Swayze, 53, also insisted that the 'Lethal Weapon' actor would not be beaten by the scandal. He added: "When you are a pit bull, and you love what you do and you are going to continue to grow, that talent will find its way out."
