Stars including Elizabeth Taylor and Tim Robbins have paid tribute to late Hollywood legend Paul Newman.Elizabeth, who appeared in 1958 movie 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' alongside the screen legend - who died aged 83 on Friday (26.09.08) after losing his battle with cancer - expressed her sorrow at the Oscar-winning actor's death. She said: "I loved that man with all my heart. He was goodness and kindness and pure integrity. I know he loved his family, his wife, the world and mankind. He was purity of heart. "Working with him was such a joy. Knowing him, being his friend, was as golden as the sunset and a privilege I'll never forget. I thank God and feel so honoured for that privilege. May he be in God's embrace forever."Tim, who starred with Paul in 1994 film 'The Hudsucker Proxy', added: "The world has lost an angel. Philanthropist, humanitarian, a man of compassion, conviction and courage, an intelligence born of curiosity, an open mind, a beautiful heart, and a wicked sense of humour."He was always a hero of mine both as an actor and as a man and it was an honour to have known his wonderful spirit, to act with him, to laugh with him, and to sit in the passenger seat while he drove 100mph with mischief in his eyes."Newman is survived by his wife and their three grown-up daughters Elinor 'Nell' Teresa, Melissa 'Lissy' Stewart, and Claire 'Clea' Olivia.
