Paul Weller wants to perform with David Bowie. The 'Wild Wood' singer - who released his album '22 Dreams' earlier this year - admits he listened to lots of Bowie while he was recording the LP, and would love the chance to take to the stage with the legendary rocker.Paul said: "We played a lot of Bowie as we were making '22 Dreams'. I wouldn't say he was a direct influence, but I got turned on to those records by my roadie while we were in the studio."I haven't been in touch with Bowie. I'd love to get him to a gig, though. I'd love him to come and play with me and my new band."The singer recently celebrated his 50th birthday, and admits the landmark occasion made him even more determined to ensure his latest album was a record he could be proud of.He said: "I didn't want to become one of those people whose best work is behind them once they get to a certain age. I wanted to disprove that by doing something different."
