Peter Andre's amazing new year

Peter Andre says the party he went to on New Year's Eve (31.12.11) was ''amazing'' and the celebrations were the best he had ever attended.

The 'Behind Closed Doors' hitmaker celebrated the coming of 2012 in Dubai with his children Junior, six, and four-year-old Princess Tiaamii - and says his whole family enjoyed an "amazing" party.

He said: "It was the best new year ever.

"On New Year's Eve (31.12.11) we all went to huge party. There was amazing music, brilliant food and the kids had a ball.

"Both Junior and Princess were dancing on the stage at one point! I didn't let them stay up too late, though - after a while I put them to bed and left them in the capable hands of a close friend while I went back to join the others."

Though he enjoyed the evening, Peter admits some parts of the night are a little hazy in his memory because he had been drinking alcohol but he knows his celebrations ended with a calorific meal.

He wrote in his column for new! magazine: "We went to Embassy bar, where I bizarrely ended up talking to Hugh Grant about God knows what!

"He was very nice from what I remember, but I couldn't really tell you what we were talking about as I'd had a few drinks.

"I also had a Cuban cigar, which was quite an experience. It was a great night all in all, but unfortunately I ended it by eating a burger and chips in my room at 4.30am. Whoops!"
