Professor Green prefers to write songs by verbalising lyrics, rather than writing them down.
Professor Green approaches songwriting like "having an argument" with himself.
The 'Read All About It' hitmaker favours verbalising his new lyrics and editing them as he works through a song, rather than physically writing them down and admits his approach can make him look "nuts".
He said: "For me, it's the best way to be creative. It's like having an argument with yourself, you're walking round and everyone thinks you're nuts because you're talking to yourself.
"But that's how I write, it doesn't work if I sit down and write with a pen and pad."
The rapper admitted his successes over the last 12 months has made him more confident about his songwriting approach.
He added: "the success has given me more believ in myself. It's why I can walk around the room looking like an absolute nutcase."
