Ricky Gervais loves being rich.The 'Stardust' actor, who has become a multi-millionaire since penning award-winning comedy 'The Office' and 'Extras', never thought he would be living such a luxurious lifestyle.He said: "I could never have dreamt of this success. I didn't look for fame and still don't, although I do enjoy a higher standard of living."In the beginning I felt guilty about the money because I knew from my upbringing that being wealthy didn't make you more deserving."Gervais also claims he would feel happier if he hadn't achieved such mainstream success.He added to the Radio Times magazine: "I'd have been happy to remain a cult hero. I wasn't after world domination. I hoped 'The Office' would be a million people's favourite show, not 10 million's tenth favourite."I don't want to be a supermarket chain. I want to be a Faberge. Everyone I've admired has been an acquired taste - The Simpsons, Radiohead, David Bowie. Anything that captures everyone outstays its welcome."

Ricky deserves his success for having created some amazing British television, along with Stephen Merchant, Ash Atalla, Anil Gupta and so many others. Beats all those USA imports hands down!
