Ricky Gervais says he is too famous to go to the cinema.
The British comic actor claims he can't watch a film in public because he is mobbed by fans.
He said: "I can't go to the cinema anymore because someone would turn around and say, 'It's him isn't it? It is him from 'The Office'.' So now I just watch films when they come out on DVD.
Gervais went on to moan about cinemagoers - claiming most only go to feast on popcorn and annoy others by using their mobile phones during the movie
He jokingly added: "I'm a big shot now. I have my own entourage. I used to take the bus when I was plugging a TV series, but now I'm doing films it's limos all the way."
Gervais went on to moan about cinemagoers - claiming most only go to feast on popcorn and annoy others by using their mobile phones during the movie.
He fumed: "Popcorn should be banned in cinemas. All food should be banned in cinemas. It is so annoying. These films cost a hundred million dollars to make and then someone goes along for something to eat. And turn your phone off. Phones should be banned."
