Salma Hayek insists lavish wedding ceremonies are a waste of money.
The actress - who married long-term partner Francois-Henri Pinault in Paris in February - has denied she is preparing to renew her vows in a follow-up ceremony and reception for friends and family because she doesn't see the point.
She told People magazine: "I think a wedding is about love, friends, family and fun. I think spending millions of dollars on a wedding is ridiculous and it has never been my dream. I would never do that."
Salma - who has a 19-month-old daughter Valentina with the businessman - said her wedding vows at a low-key ceremony in front of her mother Diana Jimenez and brother Sami.
I think a wedding is about love, friends, family and fun. I think spending millions of dollars on a wedding is ridiculous and it has never been my dream. I would never do that.
It was previously revealed the 42-year-old actress wore a white gown and carried a bunch of red roses for the intimate occasion.
A source said: "The bride was extremely beautiful, even when she was crying tears of joy. They were extremely happy. She said 'Oui' before about a dozen guests."
Salma and Francois-Henri - who began dating in 2006 - called off their engagement last July, but eventually decided to get back together after taking two romantic trips to the French capital.
A source explained: "He's the sweetest guy when he's around her. He's good to her, always with her. They take the baby everywhere with him. They're happy together, totally in love."
