Samantha Ronson's dog Cadillac is believed to have attacked a small dog, leaving it dead, and its owner injured.

Samantha Ronson's dog has been named in an attack which left a small dog dead.

A fight is believed to have broken out outside the DJ's Los Angeles apartment between her bulldog Cadillac and a two-year-old Maltese named Tiger.

According to reports, Cadillac also tried to attack Tiger's female owner, who escaped the altercation with minor injuries.

There is absolutely nothing I can say that will alter one minute of today, nothing.

Samantha - who is believed to be back in a relationship with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan - later expressed her regret about the incident and tweeted her condolences to the dead animal's unnamed owner, who is believed to be one of her neighbours.

She wrote: "There is absolutely nothing I can say that will alter one minute of today, nothing."

"I feel incredibly sad and wish I could offer more than condolences, unfortunately there are no words to describe how sorry I am."

Animal services attended Samantha's house but did not leave with her pet.
