Slain rapper Notorious B.I.G.'s family has filed a federal court motion against a convicted murderer, accusing him of lying about police involvement in the heavyweight star's death.Waymond Anderson recently revealed he lied as part of a scam involving the slain rapper's family members and attorneys to win a monetary settlement.But the estate of the late rapper - real name Christopher Wallace - insists Anderson's initial testimony, in which he implicated a former police officer in the killing, should stand. The family claims the convict was lying when he recanted his testimony.The new motion, filed in Los Angeles on Monday (29Oct07), seeks access to Anderson's phone and prison visitation records, according to Billboard.com.Estate attorneys argue that the records will reveal holes in Anderson's latest story.Anderson claims the estate offered to give him a portion of any award it received in return for falsely testifying that a former police officer, David Mack, was involved in the murder of Wallace a decade ago (Mar07).The family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles in April (07), alleging that rogue police officers killed the rapper. An earlier lawsuit on similar charges ended in a mistrial in 2005.
