John Lennon's son Sean has recorded a new album.'Friendly Fire' will be released in September accompanied by a film featuring a host of Hollywood stars.Sean said: "There was a long period after my first album where I felt disillusioned with the machinery of the music industry. I didn't stop recording, playing and performing. I just did everything more discreetly." The musician has asked a number of stars - including Lindsay Lohan, who he is rumoured to have briefly dated, and 'Star Wars' actress Carrie Fisher - to appear in a short film about love to accompany each of the 10 tracks on 'Friendly Fire'.He said: "'Friendly Fire' is an experiment to see what it might be like to do music more publicly again."Music is invisible. I spend a lot of the time in the studio with my eyes closed."The record will include a cover of Marc Bolan's 'Would I Be the One'.'Friendly Fire' is the follow-up to Sean's debut album 'Into the Sun' which was released eight years ago and entered the US Billboard chart at No.4.
The 30-year-old musician also revealed he has been busy collaborating with American country singer Ryan Adams and his mother Yoko Ono.
