Actress Sigourney Weaver made an embarrassing slip-up on U.S. TV on Wednesday (21Jan09) - by accidentally flashing her underwear to millions of viewers.

The Alien star was appearing on daytime talk show The View, sitting on a row of chairs with hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

But none of the presenters noticed when Weaver, wearing a short blue dress, accidentally uncrossed her legs - leaving her undergarments exposed to the studio audience and TV viewers.

Weaver continued her appearance on the programme unaware of the incident.
