Simon Cowell says he's "off women".

The music mogul has vowed to stay away from the opposite sex after splitting with girlfriend Terri Seymour after six years together.

Simon told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Don't worry about me. I don't need a lonely hearts advert. I'm off women now. But everything's fine between me and Terri - we're still friends. In fact I just spoke to her on the phone now."

Simon - who is a judge on TV talent shows 'American Idol' and 'The X Factor' - added: "I've always been very close to all my ex-girlfriends. We've never fallen out - they're like my best friends."

Simon - who is worth an estimated $200 million - parted ways from 34-year-old Terri several weeks ago, but the news was only confirmed last weekend.

He is believed to have given her a parting gift of $5 million in cash, and another $4.6 million to buy a house in Beverly Hills, California.
