Simon Pegg wants his unborn baby to be US President.

The 'Star Trek' actor - whose wife Maureen is five months pregnant with their first child - is moving to America to shoot his latest film so their tot will be born in the US, making it eligible for the most powerful job in the world.

The British star said: "We're going to have an American baby. It wasn't necessarily what we wanted. The only good thing is that our baby could be President one day."

Another aspect of fatherhood Simon is looking forward to is watching movies and reading books with his child.

He added to Britain's Marie Claire magazine: "When you've got a baby you're going to have to be a bit of a dad. I'm looking forward to all that.

"Whether it's a boy or girl, I can't wait to introduce them to various films, watching 'Star Wars' for the first time, reading 'Harry Potter' for the first time."
