Meanwhile, Missy Elliot watched as Timbaland joined Eve, Ciara, Nelly Furtado and Keyshia Cole performed a selection of her hits.

Bow Wow joined Snoop on stage for a live performance, while Busta Rhymes, Common and Lupe Fiasco performed A Tribe Called Quest's 'Scenario'.

LL Cool J, Ne-Yo and Chris Rock also attended the ceremony, which was hosted by Tracy Morgan.
