Snoop Dogg to sue woman and her legal team!

Snoop Dogg is suing a woman and her legal team after they demanded $5million from him in return for her silence over an alleged assault. The rapper filed the lawsuit in the Los Angeles Superior Court on December 10, and states in the legal documents the details of the extortion attempt. According to reports, the woman - whose name has not been disclosed to protect her privacy - sent a letter through her lawyers threatening to sell the story of the alleged assault to American magazine the National Enquirer and a book publisher if Snoop failed to pay the requested sum.

Snoop - real name Calvin Broadus - also denies any involvement in the alleged attack, which reportedly took place during a live performance in 2003. However, details of the 'assault' were not included in either the original suit or in Snoop's legal case. The 'Starsky and Hutch' star is seeking to claim punitive damages, but is believed to be taking legal action in order to protect himself from possible future threats.
