The Spice Girls are set to extend their world tour.
The band - Victoria Beckham, Melanie B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Halliwell - will now include a Brazil show following overwhelming demand from fans who claimed it was unfair Rio had initially been ignored.
A concert date had been announced for Buenos Aires, Argentina, sparking disappointment which extended to the Brazilian parliament, where politicians discussed the snub.
A source said: "The girls will make a big announcement next week. Everybody in the Spice camp has been bombarded by Brazilian fans demanding the band bring Girl Power to Brazil.
"Doing Buenos Aires and not Rio would be a massive faux pas. One of the dates is definitely going to be Brazil."
Three million fans have already registered for tickets for the 11-date tour - which also includes concerts in London, New York and Los Angeles - and experts believe it could be the biggest grossing tour ever, overtaking The Rolling Stones 'A Bigger Bang Tour'.
Mel C had already hinted the group could extend their tour if there is a big demand for tickets.
