Steve Coogan Rubbish's 'Love Child' Rumours

COOGAN BLASTS LOVE BABY CLAIMS British comedian STEVE COOGAN has blasted on-going rumours he has made COURTNEY LOVE pregnant, despite admitting some recent tabloid rumours are true. The unusual pairing of the AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS star and Love hit the headlines in August (05) when British newspaper News Of The World alleged Love was expecting his baby after a brief fling. A few days after the initial report, Love released a statement through her record company saying, "Courtney Love wishes to make it clear that she denies recent stories suggesting she is pregnant or has had a relationship with Steve Coogan. She confirms that she and Steve are good friends and have met a few times in Los Angeles." Despite the statement, the rumours have persisted. While Coogan denies she is pregnant, he suggests some of the reports are true, after saying, "Most of it's complete hogwash." He tells BBC Radio 1, "That's a Radio 1-friendly swear word. I'd use stronger language if I wasn't speaking on the radio but I take it on the chin."
