Steven Seagal is suing a law firm that represented him in 2002 for reportedly over-charging.According to court papers filed last week (12Jul07), Seagal claims the attorneys at Loeb and Loeb are charging him excessive fees for their services in an extortion case against his former business associate. The actor and blues guitarist hired them to represent him when he testified against Julius Nasso before a federal grand jury, but he was stunned when the law firm's associates billed him for more than $1 million (£500,000). Seagal claims he has paid half the money but then sought legal advice and determined he had been "substantially overcharged."The Under Siege star is seeking damages of at least $450,000 (£225,000), while the law firm's bosses insist the actor still owes them in excess of $570,000 (£285,000).Earlier this year Seagal slammed fellow Hollywood action stars for copying his work.He didn't name any names but said: "There's one boy who once tried to do stuff with Bruce Lee. And there's another person out there who's always tried to copy me."
