Take That are to reform to go on tour - and have promised fans a dazzling live show.

The group, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange, have decided to go back on the road 10 years after they split - shortly after Robbie Williams quit the bandMark and Howard say the boys, famed for their dazzling live shows in their hey day, plan to recreate the magic and spectacle of their old tours, and in a veiled swipe at Westlife insist they will not be "sat on chairs"Howard said: "We're going to give a very entertaining and energetic show. We're not going to be sat on chairs like certain groups nowadays"Mark added: "Other boybands are OK, but I don't think they touch what we did on stage"The group, now all in their mid to late 30s, with Howard at 38 being the oldest, admit they are disappointed Robbie won't be joining them on the road again - but insist they are not surprised he spurned their offerGary said: "I think we can all say we would definitely have loved that But we do respect that's not going to happen"Rob's got his own deal going on and we obviously wish him the best with that"

Mark added: "The door's always open for Rob If ever he's bored one day and we're on the road and he wants to come and sing a song, we're always ready to do that.

"We'll have a spare mic ready for him on stage"

The tour begins next April in Newcastle, and tickets will go on sale from 9am on Friday December 2
