Take That have landed a new£3 million record deal.Sony BMG, who own the band's back catalogue, were hoping to re-sign the group but the 90s stars have chosen to work with Polydor instead.Polydor boss David Joseph, who worked with the band when he was with BMG, is said to have persuaded the boys to sign.A source said: "Their current tour proved there is still a big fan base. But it was a collection of new songs that gave Polydor the confidence to commit to the future."Take That - who topped the charts throughout the 90s with a string of hits, including 'Pray' and 'Back For Good' - plan to release at least one album of new material with further records planned if it sells well. All four band members, Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, are said to be writing tracks for the LP - not just Gary as in the band's heyday.

The group's former manager, Nigel Martin-Smith, said: "I can't believe what a success the comeback tour has been. They could tour every year and pack stadiums."

It was rumoured that ex-bandmate Robbie Williams would join the band on at least one night of their UK tour, but it is believed he has pulled out because of other commitments.
