Thandie Newton Back To Reality As Marriage In Crisis

Hollywood star THANDIE NEWTON has been forced to come back to reality after the success of new blockbuster CRASH to solve her marriage crisis with husband OLIVER PARKER.The 32-year-old actress has only just returned to the big screen after putting her career on hold to have children with the screenwriter, but Parker is struggling to adjust to her new found fame.She admits, "We have an unconventional relationship. I'm a real romantic and a bit of a fairytale creator. "But I'm now having to move into a new of area of our life: reality. That can be quite painful, but I think it's something that many couples face after seven years."The CRASH beauty also reveals she was shocked when her MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE II co-star TOM CRUISE split with NICOLE KIDMAN four years ago but she is convinced it unleashed two great talents.The 32-year-old Zambian star has been close friends with the high-profile couple since landing her screen debut alongside the Australian actress in 1991 film FLIRTING, and was distraught when they split and later divorced in 2001.

But she is convinced the pair have produced their finest work since their divorce came through. She says, "Their divorce really surprised and upset me."But as soon as they separated their lives seemed to grow to fill the space."
