The Game jams up police phone line

The Game has blamed a friend for jamming the phone lines to the Los Angeles sheriff's office after inadvertentle posting the number on his Twitter page.
The Dreams hitmaker, real name Jayceon Taylour, could face charges for wasting police time amid claims he told his followers to unwittingly call into the Compton, California station on Friday in a bid to land an internship with him.
Sheriff's Captain Mike Parker condemned the star's alleged actions, telling the Los Angeles Times: "This was beyond irresponsible. The deputies' ability to answer the phones and dispatch personnel to help these people in danger was significantly impeded."
But The Game has brushed off the controversy, insisting a childhood pal was the one tweeting to fans and he had no idea the number he posted online was that of the Sheriff's Department.
The hip-hop star also claims he never heard from the cops, who reportedly reached out to him directly to urge fans to stop calling.
He tells TMZ.com: "They don't have my number and I'm not following the police (on Twitter)."
And The Game is refusing to take the threat of charges seriously.
Referring to the Florida mother who was recently acquitted of killing her own daughter, he adds: "Casey Anthony can get away with murder and The Game goes to jail for tweeting. God bless America."
