After splitting with his wife of four years Thierry Henry is facing a battle with his ex wife over his £25 million fortune. The striker, who has now moved to Barcelona for £130,000 a week, married Nicole Merry in 2003 could be in line for a £10 million pay out.Henry has reportedly hired law firm Mishcon de Reya, who represented Princess Diana and Heather Mills, and if Merry does recieve £10 million then it will be the biggest divorce payout by a footballer. It's predicted that Merry will recieve a lump sum as opposed to a proportion of the striker's future pay. Henry will also have to provide child support for the couple daughter Tea.The couple met when they appeared in the television adverts for renault Clio. However Merry is unlikely to be entitled to an equal share in Henry's fortune as he was a well established player when they met.Henry's follows in the footsteps of Arsenal team mate Ray Parlour who's wife was awarded £1.8 million of his future earings after claiming she helped build his career. The X Factor might be the bane of some folks’ lives thanks to a certain pair of twins who keep appearing on the show week after week, but as we’re trying to determine who we’d most like to go on a hot date with this morning, we thought we’d open the floodgates to your views.
