Uma Thurman's storm saviour

Uma Thurman was rescued by Quentin Tarantino after a storm hit their party.The actress found herself battling the weather while attending a bash for her new movie 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend'.While partying on the rooftop of top New York nightspot Bed, Uma was happily chatting to actress Emily Frances and 'Kill Bill' director Tarantino when a terrifying storm hit.A source told America's New York Post newspaper: "Things were flying all over the place. Everyone ran for cover, and Quentin scooped her up in his arms and carried her to safety, leaving Emily to fend for herself."Hero Tarantino had little time to recover from the frightening episode - he flew to Austin, Texas, the next day to continue filming new movie 'Grind House'.Earlier this week, it was revealed Uma was recently attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes.Her afternoon with hotelier Andre Balazs was ruined last Friday (07.07.06) when the blood-sucking bugs attacked.

The pair were enjoying vodka martinis at New York's plush Della Femina restaurant when a plague of mosquitoes flew at her - forcing quick-thinking Uma to ask for some insect spray to combat the invasion.
