Hundreds of detailed photographs of YOKO ONO's home have been found in the house of accused former aide KORAL KARSAN.The snaps of Ono's New York City apartment and her art collection were found in the chauffeur's house after a police search took place last week (ends15DEC06).
Manhattan Assistant District Attorney ANNE SCHWARTZ said the chauffeur was a "scheming turncoat" who was prepared to commit a sinister crime against his generous employer in return for financial gain, the New York Post reports.
She says, "It's clear he's been plotting some sort of crime against this victim. He has been taking his time, weighing his options.
"He could have taken the artwork off the walls of the victim's home."
But Attorney ROBERT GOTTLIEB defended Karsan, insisting he was very close to Ono, insisting he was "on call 24 hours a day, there all day, all night" and was so intimate with the star he even "tucked her into bed" at night.
Turkish-born Karsan is accused of threatening to release embarrassing tape recordings and candid photographs of Ono, the widow of JOHN LENNON, and threatening to kill her unless she gave him $2 million (£1 million).
Karsan is due back in court on 11 January (07) and could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
