Adele shows feelings through songs

Adele finds it easier to express her emotions though her songs than in conversation.

Adele can only express her emotions through music.

The 23-year-old singer's last album '21' contained numerous songs about her bitter split from an ex-boyfriend and she claims she isn't able to bare her soul in conversation like she can though her songs.

She said: "In person, I can never talk about my feelings. If you were my man and we were having a serious conversation, I'd be laughing. Or just crying. I can never be articulate with how something is making me feel. I can never find the words."

But Adele - who is currently dating Simon Konecki - claims the words and emotions just pour out of her when she writes her songs and she doesn't know where some of the more poetic observations come from.

She told the US edition of Vogue magazine: "I have no idea where it comes from. I don't read literature. I don't have a very big capacity for language and words. I'm quite limited when it comes to just chatting. But my head comes alive when I'm writing music, and I start using words and describing emotions I had no idea existed in me."
