The 27-year-old singer donned a prosthetic nose and wig and called herself 'Jenny' as she joined a number of other impersonators at an audition for a fictitious pilot programme at the Wimbledon Theatre in London.

Adele's undercover act was filmed as part of her TV special, 'Adele at the BBC', which will air on BBC One at 8.30pm on Friday (20.11.15).

The special - presented by Graham Norton - is Adele's first televised performance since she sang at the Academy Awards in 2013.

She performs a number of her past hits and songs from her latest album, '25'.

And between performances and the comedy sketch, there was also time for a serious chat with Graham as Adele -who has a three-year-old son Angelo with partner Simon Konecki - opened up about how motherhood has changed her.

She said: "It changed me completely, in every single way possible and something much bigger than myself happened. I had been craving that I think, without me realising it, and there's a lyric in one of my songs about becoming a mum, 'I find it funny that you're the only one I never looked for', because I was like yearning for something and I never knew what it was.

"Then I got pregnant and he makes me realise everything about myself that I like and I don't like and I think that's why the album has become this journey about how I make myself feel, rather than how someone else makes me feel like I've done before."

Meanwhile, on Thursday (19.11.15), one day before its release, Adele's '25' bumped Take That's 'III' off the top spot to become the most pre-ordered album of all time on Amazon.co.uk.
