The 27-year-old actress won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her depiction of Gerda Wegener - the wife of Danish artist Lili Elbe, one of the world's first recognised recipients of transgender surgery - in 'The Danish Girl' earlier this year, but admits the night is still a "blur" and she's been so busy working on 'Jason Bourne' that she hasn't even seen the statuette since she accepted it.

She said: "I went straight back to the 'Bourne' set and I haven't been home for eight or nine months.

"It's still a bit of a blur. ... I used to watch the Oscars with my mom on our couch at 2 a.m. [when it aired live] in Gothenburg.

"And then I got to walk the red carpet hand in hand with my mom, cursing in Swedish -- 'What the f**k.' "

Alicia was overjoyed to land the role of cyber expert Heather Lee in 'Jason Bourne' as she was such a huge fan of the original 2002 movie.

She told the New York Daily News newspaper: "In my first major scene, one of my co-actors, Ato [Essandoh], has this line where he looks at the screen and says, 'Jesus Christ, that's Jason Bourne.' And my face just glitched into a smile. That was when I kind of realised, 'Wow I'm actually here.'

"It is a popcorn franchise, but I love that it had references and issues that I felt like I read in the news. And Heather Lee feels very much like a woman of today."

The 27-year-old actress will soon be following in the footsteps of "icon" Angelina Jolie in playing Lara Croft in the 'Tomb Raider' reboot.

She said of the film: "When I got the call that they were making this new 'Tomb Raider' film, I first said, 'Hang on, Angelina Jolie is an icon for what she did.' But I also played the games [as a kid]."
