The 30-year-old actress filed for divorce from Johnny, 52, this week, just days after his mother Betty Sue passed away and sources close to the pair claim that there was a "full-blown feud between his family and Amber".

A source told TMZ that "Johnny's two children, two sisters and his mom hated Amber" and believed that she "treated [Johnny] like crap".

Johnny's mother Betty Sue, 81, moved into his LA estate earlier this year but allegedly clashed with Amber, calling her a "terrible person".

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Amber got cold feet about Johnny around the time of their engagement party in 2014.

A source told PEOPLE: "Before Amber met Johnny she was just a regular super cool hipster chick living with roommates who dated girls. At their engagement party she kind of got cold feet... she was just like what is this scene and what am I doing here? She kind of couldn't believe it was her life now."

After Amber filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for spousal support, Johnny - who is estimated to be worth around $400 million - responded through his lawyer Laura Wasser asking for Amber's maintenance claim to be turned down.

The couple are not thought to have put a pre-nuptial agreement in place before they tied the knot in February 2015.

This will not be Johnny's first divorce. He married make-up artist Lori Anne Allison in 1983 but they went their separate ways two years later.

He also split from French actress partner Vanessa Paradis - who he has daughter Lily-Rose, 16, and 13-year-old son Jack with - in 2012 after 14 years together.

Amber was in a three-year relationship with girlfriend Tasya van Ree until 2011.
