Anastacia feels "lucky" to have Brendan Cole as her 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner.

The 'I'm Outta Love' hitmaker and her professional partner danced the cha cha cha on the opening weekend of the competition, and their chemistry has been praised by fans, something which the singer is also pleased with.

Responding to one comment praising their partnership, she wrote: "He's such a talent. Im a lucky lady (sic)"

But it seems Brendan will have his work cut out with the 48-year-old singer as her dance knowledge is so limited.

Asked which dance she's most looking forward to learning, Anastacia tweeted: "Gurrrl i dont know any of them. So all I guess (sic)"

But the veteran professional is equally pleased with his partner this year.

He tweeted after their performance: "Boom. Great job girlie. Very proud of you and us."

And Brendan thinks he and Anastacia will have a lot of fun together because they share a sense of humour.

He wrote in a column for DigitalSpy: "We're having a wicked time. You've got to enjoy the whole process - if you don't, it gets a bit heavy in the rehearsal room and things start getting too serious; you can actually have quite a miserable run. But I think we both have the same ethos - we're here to have a good time and enjoy the whole process and the good dancing will come from that.

"Anastacia's crazy - she's my kind of person to hang out with. We seem to have a very similar mentality and humour so quite often we're saying exactly the same thing at the same time and we're like a couple of old women. When we stop talking and when we stop laughing we do actually get some dancing done!

"I've done 14 series' and I've danced with quite a few people over the years. Incredibly, every single person is very unique and no two partners have ever been the same. Anastacia's certainly different to anybody else I've had before. Her personality is larger than the room. It's still very early days, but if it continues like this we're going to have a great series together."
