The 40-year-old actress has six children - Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, nine, and seven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - with husband Brad Pitt but now that they are getting older she is thrilled that her new movie 'First They Killed My Father' requires hundreds of young kids.

She told PEOPLE: "I'm surrounded by toys. We have 250 children in a scene, so I filled the house, my car, my trailer with toys. It's my 'I love babies' fix."

However, Angelina admitted the project - about the Khmer Rouge Regime in Cambodia - "is going to be the hardest movie" on her maternal side as it features children in labour camps.

She explained: "They have to go through a labour camp. They have to cry and scream. My instinct is to want to cut and hug everyone."

Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Angelina has given Maddox his first speaking role in the upcoming Netflix drama.

"[Maddox] has been desperate to get into acting. This is a dream come true for him. He's read the book the film's based on and speaks the language - it's a perfect fit."

The teenager, who was adopted by the filmmaker from an orphanage in western Cambodia in 2002, had a non-speaking part in 51-year-old Brad's film 'World War Z'.
