The TV star, 55, kicked her spouse, 53, out of their Surrey home two years ago amid allegations he'd embarked on a year-long affair with socialite Zoe De Mallet Morgan, and has admitted their break-up threw her life into turmoil.

She said: "I'm sure many divorcees will understand when I say I miss the timeline of my old experience. I had the life I had always wanted and, to be honest, expected. A husband, children, home, good friends as well as a career."

She added to The Telegraph newspaper: "And then a volcano goes off, a bomb explodes in your personal life and everything changes over night and you have to start again."

The blonde stunner was granted a decree nisi at a hearing at the Central Family Court in London before District Judge Heather MacGregor last week.

Judge MacGregor awarded Anthea the undefended petition on the grounds of her husband's adultery.

The couple first got together in 1998 following Anthea's split from her first husband, DJ Peter Powell.

However, they separated briefly when Grant rekindled his relationship with his wife Della - with whom he has three children - before tying the knot in 2000.

Anthea has proven she is ready to move on from her failed marriage by recently appearing on a celebrity version of 'First Dates' as part of Channel 4's Stand Up to Cancer and enjoyed lunch with a 50-year-old man named Jeremy.

However, the former 'Blue Peter' presenter decided not to pursue a relationship with Jeremy, claiming he was too well-behaved and that she was putt off when she discovered he didn't like the taste of brown sauce.
